FIRE SLABS
Fire slabs are rigid stone wool insulation boards designed to provide non-combustible fire resistance with a Class ‘O’ fire rating. They effectively slow down fire spread while also offering thermal and acoustic insulation. Fire slabs are classified by density: 45kg/m³, 60kg/m³, and 100kg/m³. The higher the density, the better the soundproofing performance.
FIRE SLAB FINISHES
- Standard Fire Slabs – Made of fire-resistant stone wool for general applications.
- Black Tissue Faced (BTF) Slabs – Laminated with mineralized glass fiber fleece for enhanced durability.
- Black Aluminum Foil (BAF) Slabs – Traps heat on one side, ideal for exposed soffits and ceiling installations.
- White Tissue Faced (WTF) Slabs - Offering a clean, bright finish for applications where aesthetics are important while maintaining fire resistance.
- Aluminium Foil Faced - Provides heat retention and minimizes fibre release.
